Major Outage in Vancouver-Coquitlam colo facility (eSecureData DC3)

The DDoS attack (Distributed Denial of Service Attack) on eSecureData DC3 data center has started up again. The network connection at the server colo is being subjected to a massive DDOS from a bot net aimed at other organization’s IP addresses at the same physical location. We are following up with our colo facility admins and hope to hear what additional mitigation strategies they can enact to stop this from happening again. We will share what we hear, when we hear it.
We have been hard at work preparing servers and backups for disaster recovery failover to our other Lower Mainland network location. We’re continuing to execute these preparations.
