* Usage based billing: Each package includes enough bandwidth and disk space for the average customer using that plan. For most customers, they do not see an overage bill, ever. If you do need extra bandwidth or disk space, you will simply be charged the overage each month on your bill, based on what you actually used the past month. Additional bandwidth is $0.25/GB/month and disk space is $0.25/GB/month.
** Plan Restrictions: Different plans are for different purposes and so some plans have restrictions on use. e-Commerce stores are not supported on Community Plan, due to the excessive server resources they consume. Bulk marketing campaigns are not supported on Community or Professional Plans. We define “ulk marketing campaigns” as campaigns using e-mail lists, or “viral” social media campaigns that are intended to direct lots of users to your site at once. For this type of marketing, you must use the Enterprise plan (or a custom tuned VPS), so that we can tune it properly and it is able to withstand viral traffic spikes and heavy load. Of course sometimes success is a surprise, in which case we might quickly move your site to the correct plan with the appropriate performance tuning, at our discretion.
*** Free Site Move: Free site move includes up to 4 hours complementary support time moving one website from your old provider to CanTrust Hosting. You are responsible for providing all required passwords and logins to previous provider and/or your DNS providers. If additional sites need to be moved, the time will be billed at our regular rate of $100 CAD/hr + GST.
**** Free site security and performance tune: Free security and performance audit includes installation of caching and security settings for production website. The audit may reveal further issues to be resolved by a developer.
